Annette has been interested in and doing art since early childhood, as art has always been a major element in her life. Her inspiration comes from everywhere. She is especially interested in the designs and patterns of nature and the designs and patterns of the many beautiful cultures around the world. These things are reflected in the art she creates, including the fine silver jewelry which is shown at Gold Country Artists Gallery. Annette majored in art in high school in Los Angeles, while attending special art classes at UCLA, winning many awards. During this time, she also studied painting with the well-known Los Angeles artist, Carlo Buonora. Annette attended CSU Northridge, where she majored in art, with an emphasis in Ceramics and, after moving to New York, received her B. A. in Art, with honors, from Adelphi University. Annette went on to teach art at Adelphi University and at middle school in Long Island, New York. Annette has a studio in El Dorado Hills, California, where she designs and creates her fine silver jewelry. As an accomplished potter, painter, print maker, and now, jewelry designer/maker, Annette has experimented in most fine arts and crafts media, and hopes to always continue experimenting, creating, and, most of all, growing as an artist. |
